Many, many instances in the Bible to remind us of the importance of surrounding ourselves with a fellowship of believers....in joy & in sorrow and everything in between.
Following some initial conversion or interest in Christianity, new believers, it seems to me are most likely to come to the conclusion that they will be happier and healthier if they avoid others. Usually they have been burned. Perhaps it is even a miracle that they return or kindle an interest in God, but I can’t think of a worse choice following conversion that to decide to isolate. I guess I sense it is a common reaction and so wonder why and how to best help people not make such a bad decision.
