Thank you Nancy for your wonderful comment. Discovering that there is a still point and then discovering that it is in this still point that everything revolves, creates in us the delight of discovery, which is an opportunity to do a little jig. What I love about Eliot’s statement is that he is expressing his faith. He is telling us in his own cryptic way that behind the veil, where God is and we are not, there is waiting for us a dance to enjoy, not an eternity to dread.

Ben, yes, Eliot’s statement brings to mind “be still and know that I am God”. That verse always makes me reflect and think about the wonders that await.
