The key words are discipline and appropriate.
Discipline begins with one’s self, not the child. When children see the actions of highly disciplined adults who have mastered self-control, as evidenced by their calm gentle assertiveness, they begin to copy their behavior. Good leadership builds self esteem along with strong life skills that helps the child to learn to manage adversity and disappointments without succumbing to temptations quit or cheat.
