Thought for Today

As we close up one year and start another I have gone back and found a few statements that I hope generate some thoughts in you. The titles will be the same and the subtitles will indicate which thought for the day you might be reading.

It’s funny that the ones who doubt God’s existence are most likely to want to take his place themselves.

A corollary to this is the observation that many people with a high IQ believe they understand how the world works intuitively. They therefore must reject the idea that in many areas of life they are completely clueless. To this particular class of people the idea of God is a cop out. To them, anyone who believes in God is a sucker. Sadly this sets them up for potentially committing or endorsing evil. They believe they are smart enough to get away with whatever it is they want to do that will harm others.

And what is evil? Purposely harming your fellow man is at the top of the list.
