The Nature of Jesus

Let's think about who he really is and who he really isn't.

He certainly lived a human life, but there was more to it than this. He said so himself. And if any other man said the things he said, and some have tried, we would not venerate them today. In fact we would fear them and believe them mad.

Jesus has a nature I do not have and unless I understand and acknowledge this, nothing about his words or life hold anything of value for me.

Either I get it or I miss it.

Either he rules me and I take his directions or I am in charge and call the shots.

Either I worship him or I use him to make me look holy or righteous when what I truly am is a religious fraud.

And anything I wish to learn about true love will be forgotten as I simply pursue my own agenda.
