Observe that we are never disappointed in a sunset or a sunrise but can be quite critical of firework displays.
That which we see that is untouched by man seems to have an eternal quality to it.
Behind its beauty we sense something or someone is calling us to dream of a better day.
So, if we are not disappointed in nature’s displays of beauty and magnificence, then what God has in store for us, absent corruption, will likely be beyond anything we are even capable of imagining.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
