My first post was on January 10 of this year.
I’m not close to working through all my notes to publish, and part of the reason is because life keeps giving me material. I have no plan to quit because I really like the process for my own personal growth.
Somethings take me months, perhaps years to ponder before I feel comfortable releasing them. The main reason, I think, is because I’m not completely settled myself that it is either useful or true.
Other things pop in, disrupting the lineup, and pretty much write themselves. And there’s everything in between. Somethings I think work. Others not so much. And sometimes, the things I think are not that interesting result in the greatest feedback both in likes and comments.
Thank you to all who respond in any manner. Some of you write me offline. It’s all good and useful.
Which brings me to my final observation and request. I have observed both in myself and others that there is a special unique pleasure in discovering something useful. I feel this way about plastic sock clips, for example, that keep socks together in the laundry. No one told me about them. I discovered them, and then I shared what I had found, and it has changed a lot of lives I can tell you.
So…if you have found my writings as helpful as sock clips or at least entertaining, please do two things for me.
First tell me which posts have been most impactful to you personally.
And yes, if you didn’t like something, feel free to share this as well. I’m comfortable in my own skin over all this.
And the second request is that you send something you liked personally to someone else. They are more inclined to consider reading from a fellow reader than anything promotional writing a writer might write.
That’s it. Thanks for your feedback and sharing.
After musing over the posts that most often come to mind (I have enjoyed them all.) “Why Love Messy People” is at the top of my list. As Linda said, “way more helpful than sock clips”. Please keep posting.
It is definitely hard to choose which post is most impactful because they are all so well written. I can say I was very surprised- and honored -when you used my comment (from the day before) to inspire you to write "If Praying Became Routine" (March 29). Thank you for that! A few of my other favorites are "Memorial Day" (May 28) , "Faith Is" ( June 12) and "Dominos " (July 16). We all appreciate so much how your words help us to start eac h day. They are entertaining to say the least (and way more helpful than sock clips)!
