A few posts ago I came to the conclusion that politics had turned religious. Many behave, not logically, but with the passion of personal faith in their own godlike abilities to rule over their fellow men and women.
I am continuing my thoughts because this problem is huge and will not be going away anytime soon.
You might think I am doing this in order to win arguments. Actually, I’m not sure arguments are wise outside of the controlled rules of public debates. Rather, my wish is to understand how to best navigate my own life and help others navigate theirs to the extent we sort of see things in similar ways. My pursuit, therefore, is to try to understanding as best I can what is truth and what are fictional constructs designed to control my behavior.
I know we have been told
it is not possible to know truth.
I find this familiar statement to be a great example of what I am talking about.
Either it is a true statement or it is false.
If it is true (we can’t know the truth) then we know at least this statement as something true (and I’m not saying it is) which then actually proves what it is declaring to be false (it is possible to know something to be true).
And this means the truth, at least in this instance, is knowable.
I believe there are some people who prefer to believe that it is not possible to know the truth because it then permits them to choose to live in ways that remove responsibility. They can then feint ignorance later when accused of not doing what they knew to be the right thing, arguing they didn’t, at the time, believe it was knowable.
If the little example above is confusing, then understand that much of what we have been told to be true that isn’t is actually intended to confuse. And because it is being declared by those who themselves do not believe it, it is the use of lying for political purposes. The rationale is the belief that confused people can’t threaten power structures built to control their behavior — it is to keep them passive and agreeable to ways of living not in their best interest.
It’s all a con.
It’s a way of duping the young and innocent into playing along. Eventually this corrupts them and they then feel free (or are coerced) into recruiting others to join in.
If there is no truth then there are no standards, only opinions, and each has a right to his own. This is how we come to things like school librarians placing pornography where elementary children can see it. [To see what I mean simply search “pornography in schools”]
Why do school educators go along with corrupting children?
The answer, I believe, is because they don’t believe it is corrupting. They were propagandized into believing it is enlightening and liberating. It is providing children with access to so-called adult materials so they can make up their own minds. And this is how addictions start. This at least in part explains why suicides in young people are rising.
This method of “liberation” does not protect the child brain and allow it to grow and develop along healthy lines. The too early neurochemical release of sex hormones, or the taking of sex hormone blockers screw up the delicate fragile development of a healthy personality able to later withstand sexual coercion and perversion - which is critical for the future sexual bonding with a mate of the opposite sex necessary to have, and then appropriately raise, the next generation. This disruption of normal family life on a massive scale, appears to me to be intentional, and if this is true then it is just as deadly as any physical attack by an enemy army.
It really amazes me that I have to explain any of this to anyone. It should be obvious, but now sadly is not.
Certainly, there are things we cannot know. We cannot know what someone else is thinking, and we cannot know an enemy’s secret plans ahead of time unless the plans are shared, stolen from them, or deciphered. And if the secret plans are revealed to the public, the enemy will predictably deny everything they possibly can - and some in the public will always believe their innocence. This is the nature of information warfare.
Which brings me full circle back to why it is important to talk about these societal problems.
Light is the great disinfectant.
Talking through things and especially raising the very questions others believe to be “hateful” and worthy of censorship is, I believe, the only way out of this psychological maze. Knowing you are not alone and not crazy is critical if we want to save society and protect children from a cult of religion and humanity deniers.
Jesus speaking
and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:32 (ESV)
Well said Ben, and I agree! I always like to remember verses 31 & 32 .....,“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
John 8:31-32
