There is a YouTube channel Veritasium that is about all things science and engineering. It is the brain child of Dr. Derek Muller.
According to his website, “Muller completed a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University in Canada, and a PhD in physics education research at the University of Sydney. The topic of his thesis was ‘Designing Effective Multimedia for Physics Education.’”
As of the posting of his web information, he has over 8 million subscribers and almost a billion views.
Today I would like Dr. Muller to show you some of the micro-machinery of your body.
For me, I am in awe of God’s creative power.
Dr. Muller has a slightly different perspective.
He is amazed at the scientists who figured all this out. I do agree their work is impressive and important but not nearly as impressive and important as what is going on in your body every second of your life. Oh, and it’s happening in single-celled organisms as well.
You are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made.
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.
Psalms 139:13-18 (ESV)
Agree...the visual representation of cellular activity is simply stunning and awe-inspiring. If anyone can truly believe that this all came about through random chance alone, then a "faith" of a different type has to be involved (along with willful "blindness")
